Play Reading is a community-based group that invites people to engage deeply with dramatic literature. Through shared reading and discussion, participants explore diverse voices and reflect on storytelling that resonates with their lived experiences.

About the Program

Play Reading Group offers a welcoming, inclusive, community-led space where you can explore plays, novels, and poetry through live, shared reading.

These facilitated sessions will involve reading and discussing scripts aimed to spark deep conversation and reflection.

  • Location Play readings will be held in Secret Locations across Perth. An email with location information will be emailed to all registered the day prior.

  • Cost: Pay as you feel

  • Registration: Registration details will be released August

Places will be limited and registration is essential. Early registration is encouraged. Please note you must be 18 years or over to register.

Host a Play Reading

We’re looking for warm, wheel-chair accessible homes or spaces that can comfortably seat our Play Reading Group. The weekly sessions will hosts 10–15 people for up to 2 hours, from August-November. If your space is near public transport and fits the bill, we’d love to hear from you!
